All of North Georgia is in the EPA’s Highest Radon Zones. Not many people, too include many Real Estate Professionals in the Atlanta area are aware of this issue.

Radon gas is a toxic gas that seeps into homes through the foundations. And it doesn’t matter if your home is built on a basement, crawlspace or a slab; this deadly gas can seep in and it doesn’t matter if it’s brand new construction or a 50 year old home.

It’s estimated that Radon Gas kills 24,000 Americans each and every year. As a matter of fact, Radon Gas is the second leading cause of lung cancer, only second to cigarette smoking.

The good news is that Radon Gas can be detected with a simple test and if the home you’re purchasing has elevated levels of Radon Gas, it can be easily fixed. The key to the issue is Getting A Radon Test. Then you know if the problem exists and if so, to what degree.

Please know that I personally would not live in a home in North Georgia that had not been tested for Radon Gas!

This service determines if the combustible appliances in the home are releasing harmful levels of carbon monoxide. Exposure to carbon monoxide reduces the blood’s ability to carry oxygen. Often a person or an entire family may not recognize that carbon monoxide is poisoning them. The chemical is odorless and some of the symptoms are similar to common illnesses. This can be particularly dangerous because carbon monoxide’s deadly effects are rarely recognized until it is too late to take action against them.

Getting the property inspected protects you from buying a MONEY PIT and with a bad economy like the one we’re in now, who can afford to dish out money on expensive repair bills?

Our clients have saved hundreds of thousands of dollars on costly home repairs because they decided to get the property inspected before purchasing it.

We don’t just inspect, but we coach, educate, and advocate on your behalf. Our job is to find problems so you’ll know about them before forking over your hard earned money (just look at our “Disturbing Inspection Discovery” page) where we’ve helped previous Clients avoid costly problems.

We tell you about those issues in plain, simple everyday terms. We’re not happy until you understand. THEN, we discuss options with you. How easy are the repairs that might be needed? Are they major repairs? Ongoing maintenance that has been neglected? Safety issues? We don’t quote prices, but, with a background in residential remodeling and construction, we’re not novices in those conversations, either. We can discuss strategy with you and your Realtor.

Having an inspector disclose any issues discovered during a home inspection prior to your purchasing, puts you in a position to better negotiate the repair of documented issues, or the price of the home itself.

You are not buying an inspection, you’re investing in an inspector. You are purchasing individual knowledge, experience, communication and technical skills.

We want you to be an informed buyer…

AmeriSpec provides a valuable service to our clients based on honesty and integrity and we want to maintain a long term relationship. That is why we provide you with the highest level of service possible and are always available to answer questions regarding your home inspection.

We encourage you to review our site in detail and hope that you’ll give AmeriSpec the opportunity to provide you with a complete and detailed inspection of your home:
